Retail Sales Associate


A CanTalk Wireless Retail Sales Associate works inside a retail environment. Retail Associates sell and support TELUS products & services such as wireless handsets, smartphones & Optik TV / High Speed Internet.

The primary responsibilities of a CanTalk Wireless Retail Sales Associate are to :

- Help the company to meet short term sales targets & long term strategic goals.
- Deliver a consistent & profitable sales performance.
- Provide after sale troubleshooting, repair & warranty support.
- Maintain sales, product & industry knowledge through self study or by participating in available training programs & company training sessions.

- Provide an exceptional level of customer service & followup.
- Maintain & build a loyal customer base through participation in customer followup call campaigns & other loyalty focussed programs.
- Support the store manager in the maintenance of the store & merchandising.


Annual Earning Potential :

$25,000 to $30,000 + based on base wage PLUS commission. Access to benefits, paid demo network services and other incentives provided.

Career Opportunities :
Successful Retail Sales Associates may gain access to opportunities as Store Managers or they may decide to work towards the role of Business Sales Professional.

Current Openings:
Fulltime in South Surrey, Langley or Chilliwack.

Job Qualifications :


- Be self motivated & able to work with limited supervision.
- Experience selling wireless products & services is a plus but training is provided.
- Minimum high school diploma ( or equivalent ).
- Candidates should own a reliable vehicle & posess a valid drivers license.
- Must be able to work retail hours including evenings & weekends if required.

Store Manager

A CanTalk Wireless Store Manager works primarily inside the retail enriornment but they may also be required to go to client sites if required for a business sales opportunity or business client support.

The primary responsibilities of a CanTalk Wireless Store Manager are :

- To ensure stores are profitable.
- Meet sales targets & strategic goals.
- Execute new initiatives, product / service launches & sales campaigns.
- Maintain & build a loyal consumer & business customer base.
- Provide an exceptional level of customer service.
- Ensure customers are provided with a comfortable shopping experience.
- Recruit, interview, hire & retain new sales staff.
- Train, coach & motivate sales staff to achieve their targets.
- Establish fair & effective staff work schedules.
- Enforce company policy & be able to apply discipline when required.
- Ensure day to day operations of stores are handled in an efficient manner.
- Ensure all service & repair work is handled properly & professionally.
- To maintain accurate inventory levels & complete weekly ordering.
- Accurate & timely handling of cash and bank deposits.
- Maintain store cleanliness, upkeep & merchandising to TELUS standards.



Earning Potential :
$35,000 to $40,000 + in addition to benefits, paid demo product & airtime and other incentive programs. Compensation for Store Managers is based upon a base salary Plus commissions PLUS performance bonuses.

Store Managers may decide to work towards the role of Business Sales Professional.

Job Qualifications :
.
- A willingness to lead and ability to self motivate.
- Minimum 2 years FT TELUS wireless sales experience.
- Thorough knowledge of all current TELUS consumer / business products.
- Familiarity with retail store operations and sales management.
- Some experience selling to & supporting business accounts.
- Familiarity with standard industry software including RQ4 & Apollo.
- Candidates should own a reliable vehicle & posess a valid drivers license.
- Must be able to work retail hours including some evenings & weekends if required.

Business Account Sales Representative

A CanTalk Wireless Business Account Representative's primary purpose is to hunt for and secure new sales opportunities from small, medium & enterprise business clients. Once a sale is complete it is also the Account Representative's responsibility to be their customer's primary contact for all their client's ongoing account support & consultative needs.

Office space is provided to Business Representatives but the majority of their sales are to occur outside of the office. Compensation for this position is based on a guaranteed monthly advance + commission and performance incentives.

Primary reponsibilities & expectations include :

- Daily prospecting activities to find new business sales opportunities.
- Emphasis on hunting for new business clients versus farming existing base.
- Meeting weekly client presentation targets.
- Consistent attainment of monthly handset activation & profit sales targets.
- Participation in weekly sales meetings at head office.
- Self maintenance of product & service training using web based tools..
- Attendance of all TELUS & manufacturer business related sales & poduct training.
- Providing after sale support to clients & building client relationships.



Earning Potential :

$50,000 + in addition to benefits, vehicle allowance, paid demo product & airtime and other incentive programs.

South Surrey / White Rock, Langley, Mission & Chilliwack..

Job Qualifications :

- Minimum 2 years FT wireless business sales. TELUS experience is a plus.
- High comfort level with new technologies.
- Experience producing professional sales quotes & presentations.
- Thorough knowledge of the prospecting process.
- Familiarity with standard industry software including RQ4.
- Minimum high school diploma with college work or sales training a plus.
- Candidates should own a reliable vehicle & posess a valid drivers license.
