Asset Tracking
What
is it?
Monitors the location of high value assets such as equipment, packages
& cargo.
This solution makes use a device called an Asset Tag which is small
enough to clip on a belt, stow in a glove compartment or hide inside
a box.
The Asset Tag works outdoors or iniode buildings, using GPS technology
and the TELUS wireless network to identify its location and movement.
Required Hardware
This solution requires the purchase of an Asset Tag. There are two
tags to choose from depending on the battery life required. $525
( 5 -7 day battery life ) or $585 ( 12 - 14 day battery life ).
Usage Costs
$30 / mth ( Charged on your TELUS wireless bill ) + $35 Activation

Tracker
What
is it?
Tracks the real time location of your mobile workforce, while monitoring
stop times and travel distance.
This solution is loaded onto your worker's cell phones ( HSPA or
MiKe GPS enabled devices ). Once activated you can track the handsets
using a standard web browser.
An excellent, low cost option for companies wanting imrpove customer
service & scheduling. Also a great tool for monitoring remote
worker safety.
Required Hardware
All thats required to make this solution work is an HSPA ( SIM card
handset ) or MiKe iDEN wireless handset.
Usage Costs
$30 / mth ( Charged on your TELUS wireless bill )
HSPA handsets come with 8 MB of data with updates transmitted from
the handset every 15 Minutes or the ability for lookup on demand.
MiKe handsets use no data for this application and provide updates
every 2 minutes but no ability to do lookup on demand.
How do we get this service?
Resource Tracker can be added just like any standard feature on
your wireless phone.

Track & Dispatch
What
is it?
Enhances the Resource Tracker solution with the addition of Dispatch
capabilities.
Helps to manage your mobile workers by locating them, sending them
work assignments and monitoring their progress. Improve customer
service by ensuring faster response times and more accurate installation
/ drop off schedules.
Required Hardware
This solution will work on CDMA, HSPA or MiKe enabled Blackberry
devices.
Costs
$30 / mth ( Charged on your TELUS wireless bill )
HSPA & CDMA handsets come with 8 MB of data with updates transmitted
from the handset every 15 Minutes. MiKe handsets used with this
solution do use data and come with 8 MB of data transmission, providing
location updates every 2 minutes. There is no on demand lookup functionality
with the Track & Dispatch solution.

your wireless phone. If you need to upgrade your handsets before

Fleet Tracker
What is it?
Tracks the real time location, speed and travel direction of your
vehicles. This system also capture vehicle data such as ignition
status, battery voltage, door sensors and power takeoff ( PTO ).
A power takeoff is an action on a vehicle that can be monitored
for activity. For example, the opening and closing of a cargo truck's
back door or the lifting and lowering of a tow truck hoist.
This solution requires the installtion of a modem which also provides
remote workers with the ability to plug their laptops in for access
to mobile Internet when on the road.
This solution can be enhanced with several optional features including
GPS Navigation & Mobile WiFi to create a hotspot for up to 5
computers.
Required Hardware
This solution requires the installation of an HSPA modem into each
vehicle using the solution. Installations are done by a certified
installer at no cost to the customer. *Travel service charges may
apply depending on location of customer installation.
Costs
Fleet Tracker is charged on your TELUS wireless bill.
There are three options to choose from in addition to optional features.
$40 /mth ( no service agreement term required )
No on demand lookup.
Updates transmitted every 6 minutes.
Includes 10 MB of data + $10 for additional data up to 30 MB.
U.S. data billed at $3 /MB.
Modem costs $450.
$55 /mth ( requires a 3 year service agreement )
No on demand lookup.
Updates transmitted every 6 minutes.
Includes 10 MB of data + $10 for additional data up to 30 MB.
U.S. data billed at $3 /MB.
Modem costs $0.
$65 /mth ( requires a 3 year service agreement )
No on demand lookup.
Updates transmitted every 6 minutes.
Includes 1 GB of data + $15 for additional data up to 2 GB.
U.S. data billed at $3 /MB.

Optional Features :
Garmin Integration - $115 per unit.
Connect a Garmin GPS device to your Fleet Tracker modem for use
as a mapping, communications & dispatch tool.
Customers must supply the Garmin device. TELUS does not supply Garmin
hardware.
Driver ID & Dispatch - $180 for first vehicle,
$110 for each additional vehicle.
Drivers get assigned a keychain fob that identifies them as the
operator of monitored vehicles.
Temperature Monitoring - $270 ( includes installation of
required equipment )
Monitor the temperature of cargo and receive alerts when temperatures
exceed or fall below acceptable standards.
Satellite Connectivity - $1,550 ( USD ).
Connect your Fleet Tracker modem to the network via satellite for
use in areas not serviced by TELUS or roaming partners.
