function to notify your personal contacts that you need assistance.
Additional SPOT Assist services can be purchased
and programmed to your Help button as well. When activated with
SPOT Assist, the Help button will notify professional services either

to offer non-life threatening assistance.

Check-in/OK:
This feature allows you to let your friends and family know that
all is OK with a pre-programmed message along with your GPS location.
With a push of a button a message is sent via email or SMS to up
to 10 pre-determined contacts and your waypoint is stored in your
SPOT account for later reference. Your stored waypoints can be easily
integrated into a SPOT Shared Page or SPOT Adventure account.

Custom Message:
This feature allows you to let your friends and family now receive

non-emergency help from professional service providers. And in the
case of a critical emergency, send an SOS message requesting emergency

Type & Send:
Use SPOT Connect to send custom email and text messages via satellites
to your contacts. Create up to 41 character SOS, Help and Check-in/OK
messages. Messages will be sent directly to the contact groups you
select via email or SMS. You can even post custom messages on Twitter
and Facebook. If you encounter problems, you can send custom SOS
messages describing your situation, with your GPS position included.
Please note that there is an extra fee for the Type & Send service.
New users receive a bundle of 5 free Type & Send messages with
activation. If a message bundle is not purchased the user will pay
$0.50 /message.
Users can choose to purchase message bundles :
- 100 messages for $29.99 ( *FREE

If users wish they can setup their acount to auto renew their message

Unauthorized Movement Notifcations :
By establishing a virtual security perimeter around your boat, SPOT
HUG detects Unauthorized Movement when your boat moves more than
500 meters without your authority and the key FOB is not present.
A notification with the GPS position is automatically sent to the
Asset Monitoring Center who alert local authorities (where available).

Sensor Alerts are billed either per alert at $1.50
per message or you may purchase alert message bundles at $49.99
for 50 alert messages.
